A filmmaker finds a truth in life in the making of an intimate documentary about his grandparents past, along with his own. It's a bold and experimental documentary that focuses on provoking specific feelings from the viewer, instead of the facts and stats of a traditional documentary.
One of my intimate observations of the mundane life of my loved ones, and efforts to think about life in its chronological dimension. It's film to show my gratitude to my grandparents, as well as a gritty document of my own inner struggles before making the film. I traveled to Shanghai as well as Zhejiang for a month during freshman summer in order to discover more about my grandparents’ stories. Editing lasted for over two years, the story kept evolving as the process continued.
